The theory, which is the base for Thomas System, appeared at the beginning of 20th century. In 1928 doctor Multon B. Merston described in his book "Emotions of normal people", that behavior of common people is their reaction on environment. This environment doctor rated from hostile (negative) to amicable (positive) and personal reaction - from passive to active. Based on this system we can get four type of human interaction:

- Dominance - active, positive behavior in hostile environment,
- Inducement - active, positive behavior in amicable environment,
- Submission - passive agreement in amicable environment,
- Compliance - careful irresolute answer to hostile environment (to soften hostility)

Of course, people are usually showing all the four types simultaneously, forming unique character and behavior. In compliance with them we are seeking our role in the life and work. (sargin, 1945 and Super, 1957).
Systematization and analytical processing of these observations allowed to develop computer program, which everyone can use anytime, anywhere.

This system has been used by more than 5000 companies only in Great Britain! Companies more of 40 countires use Thomas System.
